Shopping with My 5-Year Old Niece
This last weekend, my sister and I went shopping with my niece. She is five and really adorable. Living in the Northwest, we get a large amount of rain. Even in the summer, it rains and rains. It’s okay though, the green trees and grass make up for it. Plus, we are accustomed to it. Before we left my sister’s house, the rain had started to downpour outside. We were at the door where my sister’s family hangs their coats. We were getting ready to go outside so that we could enjoy some holiday shopping. My niece looked up at her cute kid raincoat and said, “That one’s mine!” She’s really proud of her white raincoat with the little hearts all over it. I have to admit that it is cute. She is smart and knows when she needs her kid raincoat to go outside in the pouring down rain. She also has rain boots to match.
